Hospitality Lighting Design: The Cavendish Hotel, London

The project:

This 4* deluxe hotel in St James’s, Central London has a long and distinguished history. As part of its on-going refurbishment the ground floor reception and entrance areas required upgrading and re-lighting to bring a more modern feel to the space.

The brief:

Light, airy, modern, warm were the words to describe our brief. The design had to provide a wash of light to all surfaces to ensure the windowless space felt open and bright no matter what the conditions outside.

The result:

Light finishes provided by the interior designers enabled reflected light to be maximised and a warm 3000K colour temperature gave the desired ambiance for this high-end London hotel. The scheme involved a mix of coffer lighting, downlights, wall and pendants which enhanced the space and provided a welcoming environment for guests as they arrived.
